Privacy Policy
Anchor is designed to keep work data local by default and only sync or process data with AI when the user enables production backend connection.
Data stored locally
The Chrome extension stores focus sessions, tasks, sticky notes, settings, domains visited during focus sessions, distraction attempts, and local analytics in Chrome storage.
Cloud sync
When a user connects an Anchor account, selected tasks, notes, focus sessions and analytics events may be sent to the Anchor backend for sync and AI coaching.
AI processing
AI requests are processed server-side. The OpenAI API key is never stored in the extension. Anchor sends only the context needed to answer the user’s work-related request.
Payments
During the beta phase, payments are disabled. When Paddle billing is enabled, subscription data will be processed by Paddle and stored as subscription status inside Anchor.
Contact
For privacy requests, contact the site owner at the official support email listed on the Anchor website.
